Beate’s sketch was a great starting point for some scrapbooking that I’ve been meaning to do for months! You can find her sketch (which I flipped on its side) here. Play along, and you can win some goodies from Beate’s stash!
My friend Lori called and asked if my husband was the guy in the “kickin’ it at the park” scrapbook page I posted a few days back. Yep, it’s Mike . . . just Mike from karate, not Mike the man I’ve been married to since ’93! Lori (and anyone else reading!), meet my sweet husband (and see me again with no makeup on)! I take a ton of pics of him with the kids and him alone, but never seem to get them scrapped!
Looking back through recent stuff I’ve made, I realized I don’t have many pages about the adults in our family. I have to work on that! Anyway, I’ve had this self-portrait sitting on my desk since last fall, just waiting for inspiration. We snapped this shot while the kids were skipping rocks into the Frio River last November. We’d taken the travel trailer out to Garner State Park to enjoy the changing foliage and just be together as a family. . . no distractions whatsoever! It was a great weekend!
I’m really working at using stuff that I’ve bought in the past instead of just collecting it all. Supplies for this page are mostly from the Cocoa Daisy kit I purchased last November. Here are the details for this 8×8 page. I’ve listed online sources if available. If I didn’t link to a store, it was either in my stash or came from the kit!
Stamps: Fancy Pants Bella Brush
Ink: Brilliance Coffee Bean, Encore Copper
Paper: Daisy D’s Flea Market (Floral Sage # 14204), Imaginisce Exotic East (Old Whirled Elegance and Oh So Opulent), Chocolate Chip base
Accessories: Fancy Pants Bigger Board Chipboard, Midori dupioni silk ribbon (Burnt Sienna), Imaginisce ribbon (Green Carpet), paper distresser, paper piercing template and piercer, copper brads

Jenn, I love the photo. You guys are such a great couple. Love the colors (of course). I need to order me some brilliance pads.
The page is absolutely stunning!
Ahh, so THAT’S Mike! Cutie-patootie! Absolutely wonderful page, Jenn — love the stamping on the photo, colors & ribbon/chipboard accents!

great page!
I don’t have a dh Mike or a Karate Mike, but I do have UPS Mike. Why do I think that’s so funny? Must be a case of the tired sillies, I guess!
Beautiful page, beautiful picture, and incredibly beautiful people!! I can’t believe you look that good without makeup…wow! You’re a babe! 😉
Jenn, this is so cool. I didn’t think about a scrapbook page. Great idea.
