Pocket aces, pocket thanks. . .

Red came over last night, and he and Mike decided it was time for a poker clinic. So, I spent last night learning how to play Texas Hold ‘Em. Well, trying to. I had “pocket aces” a few times, and only once did that help me to take the pot. I tried, though, and that’s what matters! I don’t know if I have the concentration for the game. I’d much rather get lost in a book or something. Anyway, I’ll try to hone my skills this Wednesday. We’re having a family shindig after the parade here in town, and will be breaking in the new poker table. Wish me luck! I’m going up against longtime poker players like my grandma and uncle!

So on to the pocket thanks! Some lovely ladies in Tennessee (Hello, Keva, Julie & Erin!) made this card at their retreat yesterday.  Beate and I were asked to create a few projects for them, and this is one of mine. Knowing what Beate had planned, I went for simpler projects!   I’ll share the other two in the next few days.

We LOVED the projects that Jenn designed for us! We had 53 people at our day retreat, and it was FABULOUS! 6 hours of stamping….3 projects from Jenn and 3 from Beate, plus 2 that Erin and I threw in……it was FABULOUS! Could NOT have been done without your talent Jenn….THANKS SO MUCH!
