In the mood for love

and because poker night’s at our house tonight (and I needed to take the Christmas tree down), also in the mood for a simple “scrappy” card (Thanks, Mona for the term!) made with Beate’s thirtieth sketch in mind.

scrappysketch.jpg

I let the ribbon be my sentiment, and have no stamping here (click for closeup), but I’m sure you find plenty of stamped goodness when you check on Beate, Cambria Charmaine, Lori, Laurie, MaryJo, and Sharon!

If you’re interested in details, I applied Ranger Distress ink (Old Paper) over all the edges of this beautiful Making Memories paper with a blending pad on an ink applicator. I adhered that to the Basic Black card base, cut a strip of one of the other MM papers from the Love Story line and a couple of pieces of black ribbon (top is from my stash, “I love you” is from the stash and is older Making Memories) and adhered those. The corner piece is from the Making Memories glitter jigsaw shapes. Antique lace from my stash, self-adhesive pearls, Stickles in Stardust and Christmas Red, Bazzill velvet flowers (two here), Maya Road velvet flowers (two here, too), and a Making Memories rhinestone brad finish the card off.

Have a wonderful weekend!
