One of my favorite parts about the weekend is the opportunity to visit my husband at work. He’s worked at a wholesale nursery since forever, and this time of year, it’s soooo pretty to go and visit! The kids love it ’cause they get to ride in the golf cart and check out what’s new. I love it for the photo ops! A few weeks ago, we decided to go by with lunch (and the camera, of course!) All of the roses are so beautiful, and we have to make a big bouquet every time. . .
That’s my inspiration behind the scrapbook page I made for Beate’s sketch this week.
Check out the sketch here, and then go visit Cami, Charmaine, Lori, Laurie, Mary Jo, and Sharon. They always make such pretty stuff, don’t they? (Beate has direct links to all of them . . . . I’ll be back this afternoon to add them, and to add a card I made with this sketch and the leftovers from that pretty yellow flowered cardstock.)
For a couple of detail shots and the stuff I used, click for more!
Paper: American Crafts (the green and pink are one sheet, sliced and flipped, then the seam’s covered by another piece)
Ink/Stamps: None
Accessories: Flowers of the Month by Prima, Kaiser rhinestones, American Crafts “Roller Rink” Thickers, green ribbon from Fabric Barn (it was tucked and folded all around that circle-cut picture to make a frame, and then sewn down. I didn’t like it, so I covered it with Primas, and ended up loving the end result!)
