Calendars for a cause

Last year, Linda Carnell, owner of A Muse Artstamps, designed a calendar to raise funds for Scleroderma Research, an illness her mother suffers from. The project was so successful that she was determined to expand the variety of calendars and find another great cause to support!

In honor of Victoria Nelson, an avid fan of A Muse who is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s Disease, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this year’s calendar will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is a cause close to our hearts – a cousin just two years older than me is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia, and Mike’s sister joined up with Team in Training and ran a marathon last fall to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in remembrance of their sweet Uncle Mark.

This year’s calendar features 16 months, beginning September 2008 and running through December 2009. It also includes a perpetual calendar which is great for keeping track of birthdays and anniversaries. The calendar has been designed in several different sizes, making it easy to choose just the right calendar for fun projects and gifts for friends, family, or your own use!

I printed mine out on glossy cardstock, and stamped seasonal images in pearly chocolate Brilliance ink, colored with copics, and layered on patterned card stock, then embellished. I’m adding magnets so that I can stick ’em on my magnet board here at my desk. I will share the rest of the calendars once I’m finished ~ I had such high hopes, but time just got away from me!

Here are the details:

– There are THREE donation levels per calendar. The minimum donation is $4 per calendar. If you’d like to donate more, there are also options to donate $10 or $20.

– 100% of the proceeds from this year’s calendar sales will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
