Flower

Another week, another sketch!

I didn’t feel like stamping last night, so here’s a totally scrappy version of Beate’s weekly sketch. I get lovely patterned paper and accessories from the It Kit Studios (and Jenni Bowlin, too) each month, and yesterday, I got this stuff*, so I had a little fun and strayed just a little from the sketch.

I have tons to do today, so if you want to know something about manufacturers or what I made for dinner last night, just let me know, and I’ll amend this post with answers. Before you run off and have a fabulous Friday and weekend, go by and say hi to Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo, and Sharon. I’m sure they have beautiful work to share with you!

*with the exception of the transparency flowers from Prima, the letters from Making Memories, and the red Kaiser stones.

edited to add: Okay, okay. I’ve cooked *twice* in a row after a three week stretch of going out to eat or picking up dinner every night. Yikes. Our house was a WRECK while we redid the floors, and I just couldn’t deal with cooking/cleaning *and* that project.  I think my family’s gonna expect it now, so I’m going to have to go through Cami’s recipe suggestions to see what I can find!

Dinner Thursday was a pork tenderloin, some broccoli/cauliflower with cheese (had to try ’cause Lori said it was good!), and couscous.

Tonight, we had baked ziti (I made sauce and added shredded zucchini, too), a big green salad, and garlic bread. This was totally loved by the family. . .  Now we’re off to get some ice cream!

Lydia, my guilty pleasure (and smutty!) TV show is The Tudors. Thanks, Angie, for turning me on to that show!  I don’t have HBO, but I did buy the DVDs.  This is one of those shows you cannot watch around the kids, that’s for sure.

jenn–i really like those sparkly letters and the fun DP! scrappy, it is!

since you mentioned you had broccoli/cauliflower with cheese, i thought i’d recommend something else using cauliflower. steam it, puree it in a food processor with some butter and CREAM CHEESE, and you have scrumptious, carb friendly “mashed potatoes”!
