A morning card

scrappysketchverve.jpg

Sorry about that drive-by posting! I’m back with details after doing some serious running like a chicken with its head cut off. It’s good to be busy, right? 🙂 I went out to dinner yesterday with Sherry, Joan, Bev, Rubbernecker Dave and Sharon and her husband Bill (I forgot their last name! bad me!) – see us after dinner?

I came home and worked a bit, thinking I’d have plenty of time to make a card this morning. I had plenty of time to make something, but not a lot of time to actually blahblahblog!

I created this card based on Beate’s weekend sketch. It’s pretty loosely based, as you can see, but I think it’s going to be absolutely perfect for my sister. She’s finishing up her degree and thinking about going into ministry. Go Amanda! Check out Beate’s sample, as well as those by Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo, and Sharon. I can’t wait to see what they’ve done.

I pulled stuff out of my scrap box for this one, and think that the textured cardstock on the bottom is Bazzill and the flowery paper is probably 7 Gypsies. I’ll have to go back and see as the label’s cut off. Also used are kraft and Chocolate Chip cardstocks and the SU! scallop edge punch. I stamped the Baroque Motifs flourish in Adirondack Latte ink, and then the Verve verse in Chocolate Chip. Flowers and hat pin are from the SU! Pretties kit, and the ribbon’s from May Arts via www.starlitstudio.net. Pearls are Kaiser and were already that lovely chocolate brown color.

I hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful Fall weather. I’m loving walking the kids to school in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon and looking out my (open!) window at the neighborhood. . . good times. Enjoy the weekend!

GORGEOUS! I love that verse. Where did you get that stamp?
