A Texas Scrappy Christmas Challenge

A few of us got together a couple of weekends ago – Jami and Taylor from So. Cal, Jessica from Oregon, Lori from Missouri, and Sharon, Bev and I from Texas (and Emily and Jess spent time with us at lunch one day, too!) – to spend some down time together. A little shopping, a little creating, and a lot of fun . . . all in a relaxed, no other obligations setting. It was wonderful, and just what I needed.

Jami, ever the pre-planner, gave us a little cellophane baggie with some supplies, and a message. “Create a card or 3D item for this challenge and post on Monday 11/24/08.”  Of course, there were a few rules:
– use at least a portion of each item in the bag
– add anything you like to the materials
– use Keyword TXC1108
Easy, right?

I’m proud of myself for using the two buttons, all the ribbon, and nearly all of two of the patterned papers she gave us. All that I added was the wide satin/grosgrain (from The Container Store), the green glittery cardstock (DCWV), a Kaiser rhinestone, some dimensionals and bakers twine.  Not a whole lot! And. . . I still have enough of the cute little images to do three more cute tags, too!

That picture doesn’t show the shimmery sparkle on the bag very well. Let’s try this one:

Thanks, Jami, for a fun challenge!  Want to see what everyone else did with the same supplies? Click here!
