Download a calendar. Make a difference.

Last year, papercrafters helped raise over $5,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the A Muse 2009 Calendar project, and on September 15th, A Muse launched the 2010 Calendar project, this time with an 8.5” x 11” version that’s perfect for busy (and ever-changing) family schedules. That’s the one I chose to play with this time around.

I painted and embellished a clipboard that’s meant for 12″ x 12″ scrapbook pages to hold my calendar pages. That way, it’ll be super easy to flip through the months and scribble in a birthday party or meeting or to yank off the month as it passes. . . something that happens way too quickly lately!   I have a lot of stamps in my A Muse collection that are perfect little calendar icons for important dates and they fit perfectly in the bigger blocks. I love that I have plenty of room to scribble stuff. Thanks for the bigger version, A Muse . . . .and thank you giving us all a way to help a difference in the world.

More information about the 2010 Calendar Project

The proceeds from the sale of the A Muse 2010 Calendar will go to Water 1st.  Water 1st’s mission is to serve families in the poorest communities in the world as they implement community-managed projects that integrate water supply, sanitation, and health education.

We are so lucky to have clean drinking water by simply turning on the tap in our kitchen. In areas where there is no clean drinking water, the job of getting water is typically left up to the women and girls in the community. This means that girls cannot go to school, and women cannot work. When a well is installed it instantly and dramatically CHANGES lives. Water 1st community-based program has been very successful and all of the wells they have helped to install are still in operation today. Please visit www.water1st.org to learn more about this organization.   In addition to donating funds, A Muse will send an employee over to Ethiopia to work on a water project in 2010. This will give us a first-hand look at how the funds we raise will be used. WOW.

Jenn!! I LOVE your project! I’m going to have to find a 12 x 12 clipboard (where’d you get yours?) because it is absolutely brilliant!

Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with A Muse for the Calendar project again this year.
