It’s been a long time, huh?

Lots of things have happened, lots of changes around here since I last blogged!  Before I get to all of that, though, a card . . . one that I made for a challenge on Splitcoast. Jeanne challenged the Dirty Dozen (past and present) to make a funny card without bling. I am so glad that I made time to play! I needed a fun card to send out and got this card from Michelle Boyer in the mail and was totally inspired to make my own! It had been way too long since I made something fun.  So love the way this one ended up!

Stuff:  Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Drucilla stamped in Palette Noir, colored with Copics.Scalloped pink is from Bazzill, the rest is all random stuff from my stash.

Now. . . what’s happened since I last blogged?

Things changed a little after all that. 🙂  (If you don’t know what’s up, read the homepage story over at Splitcoast and the notes from Daven and me in this thread. I’ll wait!)  Thank you so much for all for the amazingly sweet and supportive emails, notes on Facebook, comments in the forums, phone calls and text messages.  I’m still trying to reply to each of the personal notes, and it’s taking a while!  Talk about feeling warm fuzzies! I’ve been a member of Splitcoast since 2003, and have really loved seeing it change and grow and become a force in the papercrafting world.  Working with Daven, Beate, Lori and the small army of volunteers who keep the site going on a day to day basis as well as the lovely and talented ladies of the Dirty Dozen has been an amazing journey.  While resigning was relatively easy . . . saying goodbye to everyone is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done!  I’m going to stay on for a little while and help IB find someone who’ll take over my duties, and I’ll be a regular member again.  Then . . . who knows what’ll come next!  Hopefully more time to play with the stuff in the boxes and bins and shelves and jars behind me. . . . I’ll keep you posted!

Thank you for all you have done to establish a wonderful community in the papercrafting world. I hope we still see you around SCS after all the transitions are made.

And I’ve sure missed you. First – the card is just adorable. Fun, cute and vibrant – just like you.

Such great pictures at Disney, looks like you had tons of fun…it’s been one of our favourite family vacations that’s for sure.

And as far as SCS goes, I’m struggling with all this Jenn, especially if it mean’s you’re “gone”, but I want the best for you, you are one awesome lady! Big hugs to you.

It was so nice to meet you in person at CHA. I’m sad to see you stepping down from SCS. Splitcoast is what it is because of you, Daven and the others that helped shape the site. All the best to you in the future – and I hope the future includes more stamping, because I love how you put those bright colors to work. This card is adorable!

Well, you already know how sad this makes me…you were one of the reasons I said yes to DD. No matter who takes your place, it will NEVER be the same.

As I tend to do with sad news, I try to find a bit of light amongst the darkness and the light I find here is that we’ll get to see more of your amazing creations!

I just know that whatever and however the next chapter of your life evolves, you will succeed at it…much love & hugs!

P.S. Adorable card and thanks for sharing the pics!

*sniff* Won’t be the same. Thanks for helping me Splitcoast what it is today, though.

I’m tickled beyond words to “see” you “out here” again.

Come see us … any time!

Thanks for all you do and did at Splitcoast…..so appreciated. I know you are on and upward to bigger and better things, might just not seem that way now. Best of luck with whatever you do and don’t think of it as saying goodbye because I know how many people follow you and what you are up to.
    hugs…

I’m still not sure how I feel about all the changes. I’m trying to stay positive, but at the same time, inside, I’m completely freaking out. I hope you will stay as a member and keep blogging.

    Your card is perfect.

{{{Jenn}}} When I sent the card, I had *no idea* of what was going on. I’m so sorry you’re leaving SCS. I wish you nothing but the very best of everything. Sending big hugs your way! (And your card is absolutely adorable!)

When I grow up in my stamping abilities (it would appear that I’m a late bloomer in this area!) I hope I can figure out how to use such bright colors in such a fab way!
Changes. I’m not good at them, but figure they are for a reason. Maybe you and Daven leaving is to make us SCS’ers grow. I hope you will continue to be a part of the community. I need to figure out how to use those colors! (wink!)

I don’t know how I missed this post earlier. Your DDA card is awesome!! What a great recap of your recent life. You know how I feel about you leaving your position, but I am happy if you will be around and let us see some of your amazing work!! Hugs to you for all that you do!!

Glad to see you back blogging again. Will miss you on Splitcoast though, very sorry to see you leave. I met you last summer at CHA and received a warm hug – (me a total stranger) You made a wonderful impression.

It was nice to see that you could actually spend some time with family (while not blogging) but now that you are back – love your card
