Here’s more of that pretty Amy Butler (K & Co) patterned paper from Michael’s. I chose the ones that matched my bag, and used them to create the little tab under the button, the pattern on the side, and the piecing on the totes and her hat.
The image is “Melanie” by Rubber Romance, and is pretty big. I still haven’t decided where and if to put a sentiment. We’ll see what happens! I colored with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter, and added a Queen & Co. tiny flower and brad to accessorize her hat. Easy (except trying to get the organdy through a button I’d already glue-dotted on. That was just messy!), quick card.
Have a wonderful Thursday!

Very nice card! I wouldn’t add a sentiment to the front, I think it looks great how it is.
She looks awesome…what great paper!
Absolutely LOVE it! Wonderful card!
Jenn–Nice to have you back in blogland! I’d either stamp a sentiment vertically directly on the designer paper, or leave the recipient wondering what you/”Melanie” is going to say when she opens the card.
Love that paper piecing technique!

Super card! The paper piecing really adds so much – wish I thought of it more often!
