Flower

I can change my mind, right?

Good! ‘Cause I think this one is my favorite! That zinnia (or mum?) just begs to be cut out and layered. And rhinestoned. And yes, of course, glittered.

I held it up so you could see that the big flower’s attached to the shorter front of the card, and the little flower is attached to the longer inside/back of the card. Since I wheeled a bit (just a pass, about 1/2 of the jumbo wheel) of the inside, it was hard to see where the front ended and the inside began when I tried to snap a shot straight on, and even harder to see when I tried from above.

I had my sewing machine out last weekend. I bought it a year or two ago to sew on cards and scrapbook pages, and then ended up just putting it up on the shelf in the closet when it started to take up room. Last weekend the machine escaped from its exile, and was put to use altering Adri’s dress for my Grandma & Grandpa’s 50th (and wow, I made it fit! And didn’t even sew the armpits closed like I thought I would!). I figured I’d leave it out again, and see what happened, and figured, “Hey, why not really stitch those layers together?” And I did! And yes, I was pretty proud of myself!

Stamps: Fabulous Flowers (what else?), Tres Chic, So Swirly jumbo wheel, Happy Everything

Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery

Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, and *gasp* retired Marigold Morning

Accessories: Sewing machine, Pomegranate double stitched ribbon, dimensionals, liquid glue, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, rhinestones from my stash

Thanks for looking, and for your kind words! Have a happy weekend!

Sure you can change your mind because I thought it was ugly in the catty, but seeing what you’ve done with it, I’ll be ordering. That glitter and layering is fantastic with this flower.
