I’m limited.

(Are you singing with me? I love “For Good” from Wicked, and can’t wait to see it next June when it comes to town!)
Anyway, I’m limited to what’s at the tippy-top of the *stuff* that is piled up everywhere and what came in the mail today, so here’s what I made for Beate’s weekly sketch challenge:

unitysketchroadtofriend.jpg

October Afternoon & Prism papers, and the latest Unity Stamp Co. Kit of the Month stamps – easily stamped in a row and quickly (and loudly) colored with Copics. The ribbon’s American Crafts, and that scalloped piece is from October Afternoon, too. It’s one of the little punchy cutout pieces off of a 12×12 sheet. I think that it came out pretty cute, even if the houses are all crazy colored and my homeowner’s association would have a cow over the colors!

Make sure to check out all of the fabulous creations that Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Lori, Mary Jo & Sharon have posted. I love to see their take on the sketches (and am always amazed at what they do. Seriously gorgeous work!).

Read on if you want a peek into the mess that is my home office/papercrafting room, but only if you’re not easily bored by pictures of stuff piled up where it shouldn’t be or pictures of men at work and will not pass judgement! It’s a work in progress!

Here’s why I’m working off the tops of piles of paper and stamping on top of my Scor-Mat in the corner of our Spurs shrine/poker room. Everything’s been piled on top of my shelves to get it off of the floor.

Or it’s been moved into the Spurs Room (Mike did a fabulous job moving it all the other day when I was at the office and replaced everything *just as it was* on the shelves).

More stuff has been piled onto the poker table since this picture was taken. I had to clear out the closet (see one of the doors there?). . .

And here are my favorite men. I’m writing this at 9:45 pm Thursday night, and there they are. Pouring glue, laying flooring (see the closet? Thankfully, I only had to remove what was on the floor. . . all that *stuff* still in there!), and just gettin’ the job done. Robert helped Mike lay the floating floor we had before, and we’re SO happy he’s helped us with this gargantuan project. He says I don’t mention him enough, so here I am, blathering on. . . he’s a terrific friend, and we’re grateful he’s in our lives. I love that he was good with my PW pot roast even when it tasted remarkably like take-out burgers ’cause I was feeling too sick to make a proper meal. I love that he cleans the kitchen after I do actually make dinner, and love that he’s a part of our family, not just ’cause all of his is in Ireland, but because he’s a cool dude. . . Thanks, Red.

and here’s how the dog and I help . . . by staying out of the way! Took this goofy picture (with the laptop camera) while I was checking email. Anything to avoid real work, I say. . . .)

and more fun with the dog. ..

Yeah. I work *hard*, don’t I? This weekend? A Zindorf brayer workshop on Saturday, and lots and lots of working to redo my office. Again. 😀 I can’t wait to spend more time in here!
